The Authoritative Authorship Attribution Network is designed to safeguard author's reputations, something copyright's don't really do. The impetus behind this idea is a desire to remove the biggest qualm to ending copyrights, at least on written works. The plan would be to create a database of writings with authorship information which has been verified. If authorship cannot be settled as it is in dispute, the network simply won't make it available. It is a privilege to place a work on the network, so there is no obligation on the network's part to resolve disputes.

Any work on AAANet will be available in its entirety. This means that all works are freely available to copy. Also, any quotion can be checked against the database for proper attribution.
